She has lived in the community since 1986 and both her sons are graduates of Snohomish High School. Her husband, Peter, is our beloved band director.

Collection:

17,000 books (fiction, non-fiction, reference & story collections)

6 online subscriptions

23 refurbished student computers (Windows2000, Office and Internet access) and 4 new Vista student work stations.

Our collection also contains scrapbooks, yearbooks and assorted historical documents from Snohomish High School dating back to the 1920s (and various older documents). These items may not be checked out, but are available for public viewing on site upon request. The librarian is also able to scan images from these sources and send them as attachments via e-mail.

The 2008-2009 school year marks the beginning of a new era for our school district with the opening of Glacier Peak High School about 5 miles south of our campus. During the past school year and summer, we split our library collection and the collection of the former Freshman Campus, and then added a large order of new books for both schools from our library supplier, Mackin Library Media.

During the past year our district also upgraded to the latest version of Destiny, the library automation program from Follett Software Company. Prior to that the Freshman Campus and SHS had been trying out this new system for two years.
