She has worked as Risk Management Assistant at the District Resource and Service Center (RSC). She also worked in ECEAP for two years and moved to the SHS Library in 2000. She has lived in the community since 1986 and both her sons are graduates of Snohomish High School. Her husband, Peter, is our beloved band director.

Collection:

17,000 books (fiction, non-fiction, reference & story collections)

40 magazine subscriptions

6 online subscriptions

23 refurbished student computers (Windows2000, Office and Internet access) and 4 new Vista student work stations.

Our collection also contains scrapbooks, yearbooks and assorted historical documents from Snohomish High School dating back to the 1920s (and various older documents). These items may not be checked out, but are available for public viewing on site upon request. The librarian is also able to scan images from these sources and send them as attachments via e-mail.

During the 2007-2008 school year, the library collections at both Snohomish High School and the Snohomish Freshman Campus will be split to create a collection for the new Glacier Peak High School, which will open in the Fall of 2008. Funds will also be allocated to purchase new "opening day collections" at both schools. The vision of the Snohomish School District is to have comparable collections of library materials at both schools. The Freshman Campus will close at the end of the 2007-2008 academic year and the remaining books will be transferred to our current campus.
