We enjoy a long and rich tradition of serving the city of Snohomish and surrounding communities since graduating our first class in 1894. Our school staff serves freshman through seniors who come to us from our feeder schools - Centennial Middle School, Cascade View Elementary, Dutch Hill Elementary, Emerson Elementary, Machias Elementary and Riverview Elementary.

Our academic courses offer a variety of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses aimed at introducing students to hands-on learning experiences and alternative career pathways beyond traditional college. These courses integrate fundamental academic knowledge with technical and occupational skills, offering students pathways to both post-secondary education and future careers.

At its October 22 meeting, the Snohomish School District Board of Directors unanimously voted to place two replacement levies on the February 10, 2026, ballot - the Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy and the Replacement Levy for Technology, Safety, and Facility Improvements.
These are not new taxes. These measures would replace the current levies approved by voters in 2022, which expire at the end of 2026. Local levies help bridge the gap between what the state funds and what it actually costs to educate Snohomish students - supporting staffing, classroom programs, technology, safety, activities, and facility improvements that benefit every student, every day. The Snohomish Education Foundation (SEF) Local Scholarship Program (LSP) offers a variety of scholarships to graduating seniors in the Snohomish School District. This year's application window will be open February 3-March 3.

Snohomish High School (SHS) will be inducting the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Friday, January 30, during half-time of the girls’ basketball game at SHS. 2025 Hall of Fame includes the Bickford family, Jon Brockman and Erica (Chandler) Cenci.

The Snohomish School District will be offering the ACT (American College Test) free of charge for all high school juniors in March 2026 during the school day. This is an amazing opportunity for students to take a college entrance exam at no cost to families and for our schools to collect data that will help improve student learning. As a district, offering free ACT reflects our commitment to eliminating barriers to career and college readiness.
