CADR- College Academic Distribution Requirements
Four-Year College Admission Requirements
Out-of-state universities may have different requirements than those within Washington State. Check with the college or university websites for specific requirements. The following applies to Washington State:
College Academic Distribution Requirements (CADRs). CADRs are credits required in six subject areas that students must earn to be eligible for consideration of admissions. State of Washington CADR requirements are set by the Washington Student Achievement Council.
- Credits:
- 4 English
- 3 Math (through Algebra 2 or higher)
- 3 Science (2 Lab Sciences, 1 Algebra-based)
- 3 Social Studies
- 2 World Language (same language)
- 1 Art
- 2.0 Minimum GPA
- Official SAT scores (https://www.collegeboard.org/) or ACT (https://www.act.org/) scores sent directly to the college or university if required. Most colleges are test-optional. Snohomish School District offers the ACT for free to all district juniors.

Prospective College Athletes have additional requirements as determined by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
