College in the High School

Students may earn free college credit through a partnering college at the same time as they earn high school credit by taking one of the specific Snohomish High School courses listed below. These classes are subject to yearly community college approval and availability, and it is possible that courses ultimately may not offer credit for the year. Snohomish High School course instructors will give students registration information and instructions when it is time to do so.

Information about AP courses to consider

  • Students may be required to take a college placement test for some courses.
  • Students are responsible for verifying transferability to their intended college or university. Most Washington colleges have transfer credit equivalencies listed on their “Transfer Credit” webpages.  Courses may fulfill elective or academic credit depending on the stated policies.
  • Students who participate are creating a college transcript, and the college GPA is affected as a result.
  • Registration for these courses is online at the partnering college either in the Fall or Spring of the year you take the course.  Retroactive registration (asking for the college credit after the course is completed) is prohibited.
